Emily Hunt

The Emily Hunt Foundation, Inc. is named after Emily Hunt, who was injured when she was four years old in an amusement park tragedy that left her paralyzed from the chest down. In Indiana and elsewhere in the nation, Emily has become a symbol of hope to find a cure for paralysis. In addition to helping Emily and others like her, the foundation also raises public awareness about spinal cord injuries and progress being made in scientific studies.

STAND TALL has two meanings. The first is figurative — to Stand Tall in the face of adversity and to do so with courage. The second is literal — the Emily Hunt Foundation's mission is to find a cure for paralysis so that individuals with spinal cord injuries will walk away from their wheelchairs and Stand Tall.
