To seek a cure for people suffering from paralysis by raising funds to support scientific research and increasing public awareness of the progress made in spinal cord injury research.
After little Emily Hunt suffered a spinal cord injury in 1996, the Hunt family knew that it was their personal responsibility to help find a cure for paralysis. In 1998, Emily’s father, Michael Hunt, founded The Emily Hunt Foundation, Inc. with the belief that their efforts will significantly contribute to the search for the cure for spinal cord injuries and allow their daughter to walk again some day.
Through the efforts of The Emily Hunt Foundation, almost $1 million has been raised to benefit spinal cord research and scientists are closer than ever to revealing a cure.
